We have collectively built the INSPIRE! lists program during a dialogue process that has started more than a year ago.

Thanks to 20 public meetings, 4 work session and numerous bilateral encounters in the presence of Frédérique Berrod, you have evaluated the current mandate which is now ending, you have expressed your concerns, your expectations and your ideas.

There are already more than 400 of you who publicly support our collective approach and many more who have contributed to the writing of this project for our university. We would like to thank you warmly for this.

We have mobilized new candidates for the councils, respecting parity, whilst ensuring diversity and representativity of all disciplinary fields, who are all fully committed to engaging on democratic dialogue, making strategic choices and thinking about the University of Strasbourg in an innovative and responsible way.

We are building a collegial and half-renewed presidency team around its president, women and men willing to put their experience and commitment at the service of the management and leadership of the University of Strasbourg.

From February 4 to 6, 2025, vote for the INSPIRE! lists!

For a public service university committed to 4 major priorities:

make academic excellence accessible to all

strengthen the attractiveness and accessibility of the university

enter into a new contract of trust

get involved and become visible at local level and internationally

1. To enrich students by building adapted curricula combining fundamental knowledge and immersion in professional life and the recognition of university skills, independently of the validation of the diploma.

2. Recognize and promote the diversity and excellence of disciplinary research, develop spaces for interdisciplinarity to support the creativity of researchers. Make the university a pool of expertise for civil society and assume new societal responsibilities, particularly in the areas of public health and environmental health.

3. Restore meaning to academic work by guaranteeing academic freedom and protecting “core business” time while ensuring the human sustainability of major national and European projects. Building campuses for well-being, working on the principles of a right to time.

4. Support the skills development of all staff, strengthen internal mobility and promote their commitment by strengthening compensation measures, including ESAS bonuses. Preserve the quality of social dialogue based on listening and sharing experiences.

5. Collectively write and apply an ethical charter affirming the values of the University of Strasbourg as a basis for its policies and actions and favor ethical academic partnerships.

6. Implement a firm policy for equality, parity and the fight against all discrimination and violence, by strengthening the effectiveness and coordination of reporting, hearing and processing systems.

7. Rethink governance to act better through collective reflection and debate among all authorities and at all scales.

8. Develop more eco-responsible practices and reduce the university’s carbon footprint by giving full effect to the DD&CSR Master Plan. Ensure acceptability and social equity to leave no one behind and develop the University of Strasbourg in harmony with the environment on all its campuses.

9. Think about artificial intelligence and use it ethically and safely to serve all university’s missions.

10. Strengthen strategic partnerships:
a. with University Hospitals to facilitate mobility and investment of university hospital researchers (HU) in labs
b. with local authorities by structuring a regular dialogue
c. with National Research Organizations to co-construct our research policies
d. with the socio-economic world, associations, the CROUS and local communities to create a solidarity partnership and act in favor of student housing.

11. Relieve faculties and research units by investing in administrative and technical support, in particular through shared local administrative centers and special dedicated teams.

12. Secure funding for faculties and research units and limit the number of calls for projects within the university.

13. Simplify daily work and improve the quality of life at work by applying the strictly necessary regulatory framework and moving from a logic of experimentation-innovation to a logic of stabilization, support and security of projects and their financing.

14. Develop European visibility and the place of the University of Strasbourg in European partnerships at the height of the label: Strasbourg capital of Europe.

15. Strengthen the university experience in the Upper Rhine by encouraging the practice of German and developing intercultural skills.
